Putting Cayuga County First & Keeping Our Streets Safe

Brittany Grome Antonacci is running for a second term as Cayuga County District Attorney. She has served this community over the past four years, and remains committed to upholding the responsibilities of the District Attorney’s Office with integrity and dedication.

For more than a decade, she has prosecuted thousands of criminal matters —from arrest through trial—across every level of our court system. Her extensive litigation experience, tireless work ethic, and steadfast commitment to public safety make her the most qualified candidate to continue leading this important office. As a career prosecutor, her focus has always been putting the people of this community first. She is a strong believer that justice must be rendered fairly, firmly, and with unwavering integrity. She supports a balanced approach that combines effective prevention strategies with the strong prosecution of violent and repeat offenders.

Throughout her career, she has earned a reputation as a tough but fair prosecutor —one who holds offenders accountable while remaining attentive to the needs of victims and the broader community. She is committed to building on her record of protecting our neighborhoods and championing justice both inside and outside the courtroom.

Under her leadership, the District Attorney’s Office has made significant progress. In four short years, the office has secured more than $300,000 in additional state grant funding, strengthened services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, recruited experienced prosecutors, earned a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney designation, and launched the Community Accountability Board— an initiative that amplifies the voices of victims and community members in the justice process.

The Cayuga District Attorney’s Office was selected to join the Gun Involved Violence Elimination Initiative, a collaborative effort with law enforcement to implement evidence-based strategies that reduce violent crime. Recently, the Office was chosen as one of only twenty jurisdictions statewide to participate in the STRIVE Initiative, which focuses on reducing domestic and intimate partner violence through trauma-informed, survivor-centered practices.

Antonacci has maintained strong working relationships with our law enforcement partners across the county and statewide. We continue to collaborate closely with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Auburn Police Department, New York State Police, the Department of Corrections, and other local and federal agencies to keep our community safe. In these uncertain times, it is essential that members of the District Attorney’s Office maintain a strong working partnership with law enforcement, corrections, and court staff, to achieve this common goal.

When it comes to enforcing the law, there is no room for politics or politically motivated prosecutions. The people of Cayuga County deserve a District Attorney who is experienced, ethical, and committed to accountability. Antonacci pledges to continue serving this community with the same distinction and integrity that has guided her career. She is proud to represent the People of Cayuga County and asks for your continued trust and support this November.
